Claire Bendix is a member of the Intellectual Property group.

Prior to joining the firm, Dr. Bendix was a research molecular biologist at USDA-ARS, where she initiated a project on the invasive citrus greening disease pathogen.

Dr. Bendix earned her Ph.D. in plant molecular biology from the University of California, Berkeley. Her doctoral research focused on the circadian clock in corn and other cereal crop species. She obtained her B.A. in biological sciences from the University of Oxford, where she participated in research on plant RNAi. Dr. Bendix has extensive experience in diverse aspects of plant biology, publishing her research in high impact peer-reviewed journals on topics including plant immunity, evolution of domestication, and genomics.
