Claire C. Bonelli is an associate in the Litigation Department of Morrison & Foerster’s San Francisco office.
Ms. Bonelli focuses her practice on complex litigation with an emphasis on the defense of class actions involving breach of contract, unfair competition and business torts across a broad range of industries. She has experience managing day-to-day strategy and coordination in complex cases.
Ms. Bonelli received her J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School, where she was a participant in the Criminal and Juvenile Justice Clinic and served as a research assistant to Professor Justin Driver in preparation of his forthcoming book examining constitutional law within the nation’s public schools. During her 1L summer, Ms. Bonelli was a legal intern for Equip for Equality’s Special Education Clinic. As an intern she worked on legal issues regarding discipline in charter schools and investigated instances of school misconduct under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
Ms. Bonelli also holds an M.A. in Teaching: Elementary Education from Dominican University and a B.A. with high distinction in History and Italian Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. Before joining MoFo, Ms. Bonelli was an elementary school teacher in Chicago.
