David Fang is an associate in the San Francisco office of Morrison & Foerster. He is a member of the firm’s Corporate Department and Artificial Intelligence Group.
David’s practice focuses on technology and intellectual property. He has counseled clients on matters across a range of areas, including blockchain and NFTs, artificial intelligence, and university IP policies.
Before joining Morrison & Foerster’s Corporate Department, David was a summer associate in the San Francisco office during the summer of 2019. He was also a Business Development Associate in the Fintech Strategic Partnerships Group at Visa.
David earned his J.D. at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, where he served as the Submissions Editor for the Berkeley Technology Law Journal, and Vice President of Programming for Privacy Law at Berkeley. While at Berkeley, David also worked as a Student Policy Advocate with the Samuelson Law, Technology, and Public Policy Clinic, and he authored a paper on broadband technology and legislation that won an award at The Research Conference on Communications, Information, and Internet Policy (TPRC 2021).
He holds a B.A. in Computer Science and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley. David is fluent in Mandarin.Show More
