I focus on well-constructed strategy from start to finish – my goal is to efficiently and effectively achieve our clients’ goals.

Dave understands his clients’ litigation objectives and develops innovative and effective strategies to achieve their goals. He looks beyond “litigation as usual,” focusing instead on the best way to get the job done. Splitting his time between Los Angeles and Palo Alto, Dave handles complex litigation matters—including class actions, environmental, and employment litigation–as well as data security, privacy, and advertising issues. Dave has represented clients including Amgen, Asurion, AppDirect, Suntory, Shiseido, Masco, McKesson, Nestlé, T-Mobile, Reddit, Twist BioScience, Kleiner Perkins, and Wells Fargo in significant litigation, administrative, and counseling matters.

Dave is a member of the Executive Committees of both the Litigation and Environmental Sections of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. He was a Lawyer’s Representative to the Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference and served on the Bar Association’s Federal Courts Coordinating Committee and the Central District’s Mediator Selection Committee. He is a member of Chancery.

He serves on the board of directors of the Inner City Law Center and is a Trustee of Catholic Charities of Los Angeles. Dave is a member of the USC Gould Law School Board of Councilors, and chairs the board’s Judicial Clerkship Committee, as well as the Hon. Howard B. Turrentine Fund. He is the immediate past chair of QueensCare Corporation, a former chair of Chrysalis, the past president of Urban Compass, and the immediate past president of the Society of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick. He has served on the boards of St. Marta Hospital Foundation, the American Lung Association, QueensCare Health Centers, and has co-chaired the Polytechnic School’s Annual Fund Leadership Committee.
