David Walsh is a partner in the firm’s Class Actions & Mass Torts Practice Group and splits his time between Los Angeles and Palo Alto. He focuses his practice on class action and other complex business, commercial, real estate, and environmental litigation matters.
Among other clients, Mr. Walsh has handled matters for Amgen Inc., Asurion Corporation, Brink’s, Incorporated, DS Waters, Flowserve Corporation, Grupo Bimbo, McKesson Corporation, Nestle USA, Inc., T-Mobile Communications, Inc., Twentieth Century Fox, and Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.
Mr. Walsh is active in a wide variety of bar and community organizations. He is a member (2000–present) of the Executive Committee of the Environmental Law Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and served on the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Litigation Section’s Federal Courts Coordinating Committee from 2011 to 2014.
Mr. Walsh is a trustee of Catholic Charities of Los Angeles and chair of the QueensCare Corporation Board of Directors. He also serves on the boards of directors for QueensCare Health Centers and the Inner City Law Center. He is a member of the Board of Councilors at the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, and chairs the Board of Councilor’s Judicial Clerkships Committee, as well as the Honorable Howard B. Turrentine Fund. Mr. Walsh is a member of the Chancery Club of Los Angeles and is Third Vice President of the Society of Friendly Sons of St. Patrick. He co-chaired Polytechnic School’s Annual Fund Leadership Committee from 2012 to 2014. He is a past chair of the Chrysalis Board of Directors and a past president of the Urban Compass Board of Directors.
Mr. Walsh has been recognized as a leading lawyer by Legal 500 US 2014 in the fields of Marketing and Advertising, and Product Liability. He was named a local litigation star by Benchmark Litigation (2013–2016) and selected for inclusion in the Southern California Super Lawyers lists (2003–2016). Mr. Walsh is an ex officio Lawyer Representative to the Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference.
Mr. Walsh received his J.D. from the University of Southern California. He received his B.A. degree in English from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He served as law clerk to the Honorable Howard B. Turrentine, U.S. District Court of the Southern District of California.
