Dietmar Schubert is a senior associate at Morrison & Foerster’s German office in Berlin. As a member of our Finance Team, he specializes in advising investors, corporates, and banks on financial transactions, venture capital transactions, and restructurings.

Mr. Schubert has extensive expertise in advising investors, companies, banks, and financial institutions on financing matters. Before joining Morrison & Foerster, he worked at a ‘magic circle’ law firm in the area of banking and finance/restructuring for four years. As a trainee, he worked for international law firms in Hamburg and Tokyo. He also completed a master’s degree (LL.M.) in international financial law at the University of Manchester.

He has comprehensive experience in the areas of general banking law and finance law, as well as in national and international acquisition finance, corporate finance, and real estate finance. Additionally, his expertise covers cross-border restructurings, insolvency law, and loan portfolio transfers, incl. non-performing loans (NPL).
