Dustin Elliott’s practice focuses on environmental and energy law. He has particular experience advising clients on recent developments in renewable energy policy, with an emphasis on regulatory issues, litigation, and transactional matters involving project development, power procurement, and climate change policy.
Dustin also has experience counseling project developers on compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Endangered Species Act (ESA), and other natural resource statutes. He has significant experience with securing the necessary approvals for developers from relevant local, state, and federal agencies, and defending those approvals when necessary. He also assesses and negotiates power purchase agreements and other project-related contracts.
Dustin received his J.D. in 2014 from the University of Virginia, where he was the managing editor of the Virginia Environmental Law Journal and a recipient of the Thomas Edward Ryals Scholarship. Prior to joining the firm, Dustin was an associate at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP.
