Dr. Evan Abbaszadeh focuses his practice on patent prosecution and counseling with an emphasis on life sciences, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals.

Evan earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where he was a Senior Articles Editor for the Hastings Law Journal. At UC Hastings, he was a Student Associate with the Startup Legal Garage, where he assisted with freedom to operate analyses for emerging biotechnology companies. Evan was also a Summer Associate at Morrison Foerster, where he conducted legal research, drafted responses to USPTO actions, and assisted with IP landscape reviews.

Prior to law school, Evan obtained his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Princeton University, where he studied post-transcriptional regulation of RNA. As part of his doctoral work, he developed genetic tools to visualize and characterize in vivo transport of RNA within cells and performed quantitative data analysis to describe transport of localized mRNAs. He received his B.S., cum laude, in Molecular Biology from the University of Wyoming.
