Ms. Jones is a Real Estate Title Advisor in the firm’s New York office, working primarily in the general corporate area, with a particular emphasis on real estate financing transactions that range from the customary to the complex. She has extensive experience in commercial and residential real estate, and has developed a particular expertise in the examination and negotiation of commercial title insurance products, and provides advise on a full range of commercial title issues, including, but not limited to adverse possession, riparian rights, development rights, restrictive covenants, survey matters, leasehold estates and ucc lien perfection and priority matters. She has worked on a variety of real estate-related financings, including loans secured by multiple properties, syndicated loans, subordinate and mezzanine financings, and construction loans.
She received her Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Sociology from Pace University in 1983, and a Paralegal Certificate from Mercy College, with distinction, in 1990. Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster in July of 1997, Ms. Jones worked with Milbank, Tweed, Hadley and McCloy for five years. Ms. Jones is a member of Real Estate Board for Women of New York.
