Jackie Cheng is a member of the firm’s litigation group. Ms. Cheng focuses her practice on intellectual property litigation, representing high-technology and life sciences companies, involving a range of technologies including software, semiconductors, and medical devices.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Cheng supported petitions for Inter Partes Review of patents on various technologies, including medical devices and LEDs, at White & Case LLP. Ms. Cheng also prepared infringement and invalidity analysis of patents and drafted responses to USPTO Office Actions for patent applications relating to semiconductor technology.

Ms. Cheng received her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School. While in law school, Ms. Cheng was a student attorney at the university’s entrepreneurship clinic, advising student entrepreneurs on the legal issues facing startups, including IP protection. Ms. Cheng also served as an extern for the Honorable S. James Otero of the Central District of California. Ms. Cheng earned her B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.

Ms. Cheng is fluent in Cantonese and conversational in Mandarin.
