Jacob Morrison is a member of the firm’s Technology Transactions Group. Mr. Morrison advises clients on commercial and transactional matters involving intellectual property and information technology, including technology and content licensing, outsourcing, and legal issues related to mobile applications and social media.

Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Mr. Morrison was a member of the transactional intellectual property practice at another international law firm, where he advised clients in the technology, financial services, and media sectors on a variety of matters, with a particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Morrison received his J.D. in 2015 from Stanford Law School, where he was a development editor for the Stanford Law Review and an articles editor for the Stanford Law and Policy Review.  He received his B.A. summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from New York University in 2012.

Mr. Morrison is admitted to practice in the state of New York.
