Jamal Al-Haj is an associate in the firm’s Corporate Group in the San Francisco office. Mr. Al-Haj’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, securities law, and general corporate matters.

Mr. Al-Haj represents acquirers and targets in a number of significant U.S. and international mergers and acquisitions including public and private transactions, negotiated acquisitions, joint ventures and other corporate transactions. He also advises investment banking clients in financial advisory work.

Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Mr. Al-Haj was an associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from The George Washington University Law School, where he was a Thurgood Marshall Scholar and served as the Vice President of the Banking Law Society and as a member of the Corporate and Business Law Society. Mr. Al-Haj earned his B.A. in Integrative Studies from George Mason University.

Mr. Al-Haj is fluent in Dutch.
