James Sigel is an associate in the Appellate and Supreme Court practice, resident in the firm’s San Francisco office.

Mr. Sigel graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School, where he was a Notes Editor of The Harvard Law Review. He received his undergraduate degree from Harvard College magna cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Economics.

After law school, Mr. Sigel clerked at the Supreme Court for Justice Sonia Sotomayor from 2014 - 2015. Before the Supreme Court, Mr. Sigel clerked for Judge David Tatel at the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals from 2013 – 2014, Justice Goodwin Liu at the California Supreme Court from 2012 – 2013, and Judge Stephen Reinhardt at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals from 2011 – 2012.
