Jean Nguyen is a patent agent in Morrison & Foerster’s Los Angeles office. Her practice focuses on patent prosecution and counseling, with an emphasis in the areas of electrical engineering and material science.

Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Dr. Nguyen was a Microdevices Research and Development Engineer at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA from 2008-2012. She has worked in the areas of semiconductor solar cells, photodetectors, imaging focal plane arrays, and optoelectronics.

Dr. Nguyen received her Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the Northwestern University in 2008, her M.S. in computer science from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2004, and her B.S. degree in computer engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 2003. She has authored over 30 journal publications, 40 conference proceedings, and three book chapters.
