Joel Stoffregen is a patent agent in the firm’s Denver office. His practice focuses on patent prosecution and counseling, with an emphasis on areas of electrical engineering including: digital signal processing, audio compression, wireless communication systems, speech recognition, speech synthesis, digital and analog circuit design, audio transducers, image analysis, semiconductors, computer hardware, database structures, financial/business methods, user interfaces, operating systems, and computer/web programming.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Stoffregen was a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office and a patent agent at other law firms. He has experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications worldwide, including in the U.S., Europe, China, Korea, and Japan, and through the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT).

Mr. Stoffregen received his B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Miami.

Mr. Stoffregen is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
