Jack O'Donnell applies a background in electrical engineering to assisting clients with intellectual property litigation matters. He has experience preparing trial exhibits and outlines, drafting briefs and pleadings, working with experts, taking and defending depositions, and handling all aspects of discovery.

Mr. O'Donnell has worked on a variety of matters involving a broad range of technologies including medical devices, drone technology, virtual reality and video game systems, CMOS image sensors, facial detection software, digital camera applications, and electronic storage devices.

Mr. O'Donnell earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C., where he participated in the Student Intellectual Property Law Association. He holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University, Blacksburg, where he graduated magna cum laude. While earning his degree, he participated in the Air Force Research Laboratories’ Phillips Scholar Program in the Space Vehicles Directorate and Altria Client Service’s Engineering Leadership and Development Program. As part of these programs, he designed and programmed circuits for a variety of applications. He also helped lead a team in designing an autonomous sailboat for a national racing competition as part of his undergraduate studies.

Mr. O’Donnell is admitted in California and before the U.S. PTO.
