Joyce Liou is an associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Group. Ms. Liou focuses her practice on intellectual property litigation, domestic and international trademark prosecution, copyright and trademark enforcement, and domain name arbitration.
Ms. Liou has litigated trademark and design patent infringement cases and proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. In addition to litigation, Ms. Liou advises clients on intellectual property issues in a variety of fields, including wireless networking, consumer electronics, computer software, advertising, plants and food products.
Ms. Liou received her J.D. cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School in 2010. While attending law school, she externed for the Honorable William H. Alsup of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Ms. Liou received her B.A. in economics and political science with distinction from the University of California, Berkeley in 2007.
