Judy Mok is an associate in the Financial Services Practice Group in the New York office.
Ms. Mok’s practice focuses on consumer and retail financial services. She works regularly with major financial institutions and large retailers, negotiating co-branded and private label payment card programs, merchant servicing agreements, network agreements, processing agreements, and portfolio purchase and sale agreements, as well as handling transactions related to consumer payment systems and payment devices, including mobile payment solutions, electronic commerce platforms, and prepaid cards. Ms. Mok has also worked on a variety of bank regulatory matters, including matters relating to the Dodd-Frank Act, corporate governance and compliance matters for foreign and domestic banks and other financial institutions.
In 2016, Ms. Mok was shortlisted for the “Future Leader – Minority Lawyers” award at the inaugural Chambers Diversity Awards.
Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Ms. Mok was associated with a prominent international law firm, where her work focused on representing banks, publicly-traded and privately-held corporate borrowers and other lenders in connection with debt investments, financings, loans and other structured transactions. Ms. Mok also represented underwriters and issuers in public and private offerings of debt, equity and asset-backed securities, and represented public and privately-held companies in connection with mergers and stock acquisitions and dispositions.
While attending law school, Ms. Mok served as a legal intern for the Enforcement Division of the National Association of Securities Dealers (formerly NASD, currently FINRA). She is fluent in Cantonese.
