Kathiana Aurelien represents and advises industry-leading clients on a wide range of labor and employment matters, including defending state and federal law claims, planning and implementing reductions-in-force, evaluating worker classification issues, drafting and negotiating employment, severance, and general release agreements, complying with wage payment and sick leave obligations, and drafting effective personnel policies.

Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Kathiana was an associate at Swerdlow Florence Sanchez Swerdlow & Wimmer, a Beverly Hills employment litigation boutique, and she practiced in New York as an associate in the Labor & Employment Law group at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.  Kathiana has represented employers in various litigation matters, including allegations of discrimination, harassment, wage and hour violations, retaliation, and wrongful termination. Kathiana has also advised corporate buyers and sellers on the labor and employment implications of mergers and acquisitions.

Outside of work, Kathiana’s interests include gymnastics, traveling, dance, and Formula 1 Racing.
