Ke Yang focuses her work on assisting prosecution before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and coordination of patent prosecution in other jurisdictions in association with foreign patent counsel. She also has experience in IP due diligence inquiries, including freedom-to-operate analyses, with an emphasis on biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.
Dr. Yang supports startup, emerging, and established life sciences and biotechnology companies as well as universities, independent inventors, and venture capitalists in areas including cancer immunotherapy, antibodies, gene therapy, and pharmaceuticals.
Dr. Yang received her Ph.D. in biophysics from the Scripps Research Institute, where she studied the eukaryotic transcriptional regulations upon viral infections in the Wright lab and concentrated on solution state NMR spectroscopy, X-ray crystallography, protein dynamics, molecular biology, and protein biochemistry. She received her B.S. in chemical biology from Tsinghua University in China. Dr. Yang also has research experience in chemical biology, including peptide and small molecule synthesis.
