Keily Blair is a senior associate in Morrison & Foerster LLP’s London Litigation Group. She acts for C-suite level individuals, global financial institutions and international corporations in connection with their most complex regulatory compliance and enforcement matters.
Ms. Blair advises clients on both the contentious and non-contentious aspects of compliance. She works with her clients to determine the nature of their legal and regulatory obligations and leads factual investigations into current practices. She regularly liaises with regulators on behalf of her clients to achieve successful outcomes. Ms. Blair also works with her clients to develop and enhance policies and procedures to prevent future transgressions.
On the contentious side, Ms. Blair acts for organizations and individuals in connection with regulatory and corruption investigations including white-collar defense work. As part of this practice she advises clients in connection with investigations and enforcement actions by domestic and international regulators and agencies (including the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority, the Serious Fraud Office and the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Securities and Exchange Commission). Ms Blair also advises clients in relation to appearances before Parliamentary Select Committees.
Ms Blair is well versed in a variety of compliance frameworks, including but not limited to various sanctions regimes and export controls, the UK Bribery Act, the FCA and PRA regulatory frameworks, anti-money laundering regulations, terrorist financing, the Senior Managers and Certification Regimes and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. She regularly develops and delivers bespoke training, both face-to-face and web-based, to audiences of up to 400 people on a number of key compliance topics.
After obtaining a B.A. (Hons) in Law & Politics in 2003 from Oxford Brookes University, Ms. Blair completed the Legal Practice Course at BPP London and the ACTAPS course at the College of Law, London. She is currently a delegate on the ICAEW Women in Leadership programme. Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Ms Blair was a litigation associate at Allen & Overy LLP.
Ms. Blair is admitted to practice in England & Wales and is a member of the European Criminal Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Fraud Lawyers Association. She is the 2015 Winner of the Women in the City Future Leaders Award and a senior member of the Morrison & Foerster team that won the Women in Compliance - Best Regulatory Law Firm Award (2015 and 2016).
