Keval Patel is an associate in the Technology Transactions Group of Morrison & Foerster’s San Francisco office. His practice focuses on commercial and transactional matters involving intellectual property and technology, including licensing, technology development, and mergers and acquisitions.  Mr. Patel has counseled clients on matters covering a range of areas, including data and artificial intelligence, social media, satellite and telecommunications, “Internet of Things” technology, and general commercial transactions.

Prior to joining the firm, he worked for the California State Assembly and taught in rural schools in Nepal and Ghana.

Mr. Patel received his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School. During his time there, he served as a legal clerk and a child advocate for the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights, where he assisted detained undocumented and unaccompanied minors. Before attending law school, he received a B.A., summa cum laude, in political science from the University of California, Davis.
