Leanne Ta specializes in transactions involving technology and intellectual property, and has assisted clients in a range of industries, including healthcare, biotechnology, consumer electronics, semiconductors, software, and artificial intelligence. Her experience includes drafting and negotiating technology licenses and joint development, manufacturing, supply, distribution and other agreements. She has advised clients on a variety of intellectual property issues in connection with strategic partnerships, mergers, acquisitions and other key commercial transactions.
In her pro bono practice, Leanne has assisted with asylum and other immigration matters, and drafted and negotiated contracts on behalf of nonprofit organizations.
Prior to joining the firm, Leanne worked for a healthcare nonprofit organization in Boston, where she focused on initiatives related to the social determinants of health. She also has professional experience in journalism.
Leanne received her J.D. from Columbia Law School, where she was a Diversity Editor and Senior Editor of the Columbia Law Review and a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. She received her B.A. in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania.Show More
