Leonela “Leo” Vaccaro Padron is an associate in the firm’s Finance & Projects group, and shares her time between the Miami and New York offices. Leo represents and counsels borrowers and lenders in a broad range of domestic and cross-border finance transactions, such as fund finance, project finance, general corporate financings and leveraged financings, among others.

Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster LLP, Leo worked as a Senior Legal Counsel for ACS Infrastructure Development, Inc., where she helped lead the entire legal process of bidding in public-private partnership infrastructure projects in the U.S. Prior to that, she was an associate in major international law firms in New York, Paris, and Miami, where she represented both borrowers and lenders in a broad range of finance transactions, with a particular focus on fund finance and project financings.

Leo attended the University of Pennsylvania, and graduated cum laude with a major in international relations. She obtained her J.D. from NYU School of Law, where she as a board member of the Latin American Law Students Association (LALSA) and a staff editor of the Journal of Law & Liberty. While at NYU, she was also a Center for Human Rights and Global Justice fellow, as well as a research assistant for a Hauser Global Law School Program Visiting Professor.

Leo’s native language is Spanish. She is fluent in English and French, is proficient in Portuguese and Italian, and has rudimentary knowledge of Mandarin.
