Linda Barrett is Of Counsel in the firm’s Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Practice Group.

Ms. Barrett’s practice includes the representation of both private and public clients in connection with executive compensation and employee benefits matters. Ms. Barrett’s practice focuses on the negotiation, design and implementation of employment and separation agreements, stock option plans and other equity-incentive or cash-based incentive compensation arrangements, and non-qualified deferred compensation plans (Internal Revenue Code Sections 409A and 457A), and advising on the applicable tax and securities law issues of such arrangements.  Ms. Barrett is also actively involved with the firm's transactional practice, working with employers to address employee benefits and compensation issues arising in mergers and acquisitions, sales, spin-offs, initial public offerings and other corporate transactions.

Ms. Barrett received her J.D., from the Rutgers School of Law - Newark in 2002, where she was an editor of the Rutgers Law Review. Ms. Barrett received her B.A. in Political Science from Hofstra University in 1994.

Ms. Barrett is admitted to practice in California and New York.
