Dr. Linda Yen focuses on patent preparation and prosecution, with an emphasis on biochemistry, genetics, and genomics. Her areas of research include epigenetics, nucleic acids, and chromatin biology.

Prior to joining the firm, Linda was a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University where she addressed questions relating to the establishment and maintenance of centromeres.

Linda earned her Ph.D. in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Her doctoral research used methods such as biochemistry, imaging, and genomics to identify the function of the microrchidia (MORC) family of proteins.

She received her B.A. in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley (UCB). As an undergraduate, she worked on characterizing host-virus (HIV) protein complexes.
