Lucía Roibal is an associate in the litigation department of Morrison & Foerster’s San Francisco office.

Lucia Roibal defends and counsels a diverse range of clients in consumer class actions across a broad range of industries. She has experience litigating consumer class actions and complex commercial litigation, including Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) disputes, as well as matters involving false advertising and unfair competition. She has extensive experience efficiently managing day-to-day strategy and coordination in complex cases, and has guided numerous clients to successful outcomes.

Ms. Roibal is committed to the firm's pro-bono program. She has worked on criminal defense matters, as well as litigation relating to disproportional suspension and expulsion of African American students and students with disabilities. Ms. Roibal is a recipient of the State Bar of California's Wiley W. Manuel Award for public service.

Ms. Roibal is also a frequent contributor to the firm's Class Dismissed blog (, which provides insights, recommendations, and timely reports on the latest defense news, developments, and trends in the most current class action lawsuits and product liability issues that affect consumer-facing companies. Ms. Roibal also contributes to the firm's Employment Law Commentary.

Ms. Roibal received her J.D. from Stanford Law School in 2015. As a student at Stanford, she served as the Co-Editor-in-Chief for the Environmental Law Journal and as the Co-President of the Environmental Law Society. Additionally, Ms. Roibal worked as a Clinical Intern for the Stanford Law School Criminal Defense Clinic where she received the Judge Thelton E. Henderson Prize for extraordinary performance in a clinical course.

Ms. Roibal received her B.A. in Spanish and Latin American Cultures, cum laude, from Barnard College, Columbia University. Ms. Roibal speaks Spanish.
