Małgorzata Steiner is an associate at Morrison & Foerster’s German office in Berlin and member of our global privacy and data security group. She focuses on advising clients on international data protection law and communications technology law providing practical solutions for legal challenges posed by digital transformation.
Ms. Steiner studied law at the Humboldt University of Berlin and holds a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government in Cambridge as well as a Master in European Law from Leibniz University in Hanover.
Before joining Morrison & Foerster Ms. Steiner worked as Head of Department for Analysis and Public Communication at the Ministry of Administration and Digital Affairs in Warsaw where she drafted policies and advised on strategic projects in the area of digital economy, internet governance, open data and e-government. Serving as Lead Policy Analyst in the Polish Prime Minister’s Chancellery she focused on digital and innovation policy. She advised organizations on open data strategy and is a frequent speaker on international conferences.
As a part of her legal traineeship (Referendariat) at the Supreme Court of Berlin (Kammergericht), she worked for the German Federal Chancellery and at a German law firm.
