Maria Castiglie is an associate in the Real Estate Group of Morrison & Foerster’s New York office. Her practice involves all areas of real estate law, with a particular focus on the acquisition, financing, and disposition of U.S. commercial real estate assets.
Ms. Castiglie represents lenders and borrowers in complex commercial real estate transactions, including mortgage and mezzanine financings, construction lending, leasing, acquisitions, and representation of institutional lenders providing financing to commercial real estate projects. Her practice covers a wide variety of asset classes, including office building, multi-family, hotel, industrial, condominium, and land deals.
Ms. Castiglie received her J.D. cum laude from St. John's University School of Law, where she was the articles and notes editor for the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review. While at St. John's Law, Ms. Castiglie received the Dean's Award for Academic Excellence in Business Reorganizations and participated in the Securities and Arbitration Clinic. Prior to law school Ms. Castiglie worked for three years as an analyst in a New York investment bank.
