Dr. Marian Silberstein is a senior patent agent in the firm’s Denver office. Her practice focuses on patent drafting and prosecution. She has experience working in a variety of technology areas including semiconductors, multimedia entertainment systems, optical technologies, software, and medical devices.
Dr. Silberstein has drafted, filed, and prosecuted patent applications in the electrical arts for large multinational corporations, on highly technical subject matter such as semiconductor integrated circuits and process technology, micro-electromechanical (MEMs) devices, multimedia entertainment systems, and display technology including OLEDs and touch screens.
Prior to her legal career, Dr. Silberstein gained extensive engineering experience at Intel Corporation. She was awarded Intel’s highest honor for her role in building the first strained silicon transistors (90nm process), a revolutionary innovation that put Intel a generation ahead of its competitors.
Dr. Silberstein received her Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Cornell University, New York, with a minor in applied physics. Her research focused on theoretical and computational space plasma physics and was funded under Air Force, NSF, and NASA sponsorship. Prior to graduate school, Dr. Silberstein was a captain in the Air Force, where she was awarded a Scientific Achievement Award and a Commendation Medal.
She is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
