Marian Waldmann’s practice focuses on the areas of privacy and data security.
Ms. Waldmann counsels clients regarding the collection, use, disclosure, and transfer of personal information as organizations seek to comply with U.S. and international privacy and data protection laws. She regularly assists clients in responding to data breach incidents; advises clients regarding compliance with state data breach notification laws; and drafts and reviews privacy policies and breach notification notices. She also manages global privacy compliance projects, negotiates agreements and works on privacy litigation and enforcement actions.
Ms. Waldmann is part of a team contributing to Global Employee Privacy and Data Security Law, published by BNA Books, and the MoFoNotes subscription database.
Ms. Waldmann joined Morrison & Foerster’s New York office in 2006. She received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2004, where she was a Senior Editor of the Journal of International Economic Law. Ms. Waldmann received her B.S. and M.B.A. degrees in 1999 from The State University of New York at Buffalo, from which she graduated with honors. She is admitted to practice in the State of New York.
