Matt Cave has extensive experience managing complex cases in state and federal courts across the United States, as well as in various mediation and arbitration forums. He has represented plaintiffs and defendants in the financial services, securities, pharmaceutical and insurance industries, among others.

Before joining the firm, Matt was a litigation associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in Los Angeles. After law school he also clerked for the Honorable Alicemarie H. Stotler and the Honorable James V. Selna, both United States District Judges for the Central District of California.

Matt received his J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where he was Executive Senior Editor of the Southern California Law Review and a Writing Fellow in the Legal Research, Writing and Advocacy program. He received his B.A. (Philosophy) from the University of Michigan.

Matt currently serves as a Board Member for the Los Angeles Center for Law and Justice, and the Learning Rights Law Center.  Matt is also a Co-Chair of the Board of Councilors’ Clerkship Committee at USC.
