Matt Malone is an associate in the Litigation Department with a focus on employment and labor litigation and counseling.
Prior to joining the firm, Matt was a summer associate in Morrison & Foerster’s Palo Alto office and a researcher on trade secret law at the Centre for International Governance Innovation in Waterloo.
Matt earned common and civil law degrees from McGill University in Montreal. While there, he worked in the legal department of Bombardier Aerospace on a trade-secrets dispute related to the certification of regional jets. Matt was also a teaching assistant to the dean, research assistant in the Center for Intellectual Property Policy, and editor-in-chief of the faculty newspaper, Quid Novi. Matt is winner of the national Strosberg Prize recognizing the best paper on class actions in Canada.
In addition to addressing employment and labor issues, Matt has a passion for questions related to fertility law. He maintains an active pro bono practice in the area.
