Matthew Callahan applies a master’s degree in computer science and a software background to advising clients in the computer software, hardware, and electronics sectors on complex patent litigation in federal courts.

Mr. Callahan earned his J.D., Order of the Coif, from the University of Southern California Law School. While in law school, Mr. Callahan served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Kimberly M. Wardlaw of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, researching and drafting bench memoranda involving intellectual property issues, class action certification, and administrative law. He also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Jesus G. Bernal of the United States District Court for the Central District of California and he was awarded "best brief" in the Hale Moot Court Honors Program.

Mr. Callahan holds an M.S. in computer science from the University of Southern California Viterbi School Of Engineering. He has experience writing artificially intelligent game-playing software, as well as programs and applications for human language processing and securities analysis. He earned his B.A. magna cum laude in mathematics from the University of North Carolina, where he received the A.S. Sullivan Chancellor’s Award for Humanitarian Achievement and studied abroad at the Southern Observatory for Astrophysical Research in Chile.
