Matthew Olson is an associate in the Corporate Department of Morrison & Foerster’s Denver office. He focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, and other corporate transactional matters.
Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Mr. Olson was a corporate associate at another international law firm. In this capacity, Mr. Olson worked on a variety of corporate transactions in the energy industry, including public-company mergers, initial public offerings, public offerings of equity and debt securities, private offerings of equity and debt securities under Rule 144A, and corporate restructuring matters. Mr. Olson has also assisted domestic and foreign publicly traded companies in their compliance with reporting obligations under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as well as other corporate governance matters.
Mr. Olson earned his J.D. from The University of Chicago Law School, with honors, where he was the business and communications editor for The University of Chicago Law Review. He graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in business management (strategy emphasis) from Brigham Young University.
