Dr. Max Banko is an associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Group in the Palo Alto office. Dr. Banko specializes in patent prosecution and counseling for clients in the areas of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.

Dr. Banko holds a J.D. from Stanford Law School. He received his Ph.D. in genetics from Stanford University, where his research focused on nutrient sensing pathways involved in lifespan regulation. He is the author of several scientific publications on signal transduction pathways and longevity. He holds a B.S., summa cum laude, from the University of Rochester in molecular genetics.

Dr. Banko is admitted to practice before the United States Patent & Trademark Office, and is a member of the California bar.
