Maya Harel’s practice focuses on employment and labor law. She has particular experience litigating wage and hour class actions in both federal and state courts.
Maya also has a broad range of experience handling various employment matters involving discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination claims. She has significant experience managing the day to day aspects of both class action and single plaintiff cases, including drafting dispositive motions, taking and defending depositions, organizing declaration campaigns, and preparing for trial. She also advises clients on employment law issues and helps revise employee handbooks.
Maya received her J.D. from Loyola Law School in 2013, where she was a senior technical editor for the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review and Associate Chief Justice of Loyola’s moot court program. Maya also represented her law school at an international moot court competition in South Korea, taking home third place. While in pursuit of her J.D., she served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Arthur L. Alarcón of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and to the Honorable Richard L. Fruin, Jr. of the Los Angeles Superior Court. Prior to joining the firm, she was an associate at Seyfarth Shaw LLP.
In her spare time, Maya does volunteer work, likes to travel, and plays flag football and tennis.
