Meredith L. Carr is an associate in the Washington D.C. office of Morrison & Foerster and a member of the firm’s Corporate Department. Her practice focuses on advising publicly and privately held companies in a variety of corporate and securities law matters.
Ms. Carr represents both issuers and underwriters in initial public offerings, follow-on offerings, private placements and debt financings, including offerings of common and preferred equity, debt, convertible debt and high yield debt and tender offers. In addition, Ms. Carr regularly advises numerous public company clients regarding general business matters, corporate governance issues and compliance with the U.S. federal securities laws and the requirements of the New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ.
Ms. Carr graduated cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center. While there, she worked on the Georgetown Law Journal and served on The Tax Lawyer legal journal. She holds a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University. During law school, Ms. Carr was a summer associate in Morrison & Foerster’s Washington D.C. office. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Carr was a Division of Enforcement Legal Intern with the United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission.Show More
