Mia focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, consumer and data breach class actions, and investigations.
Ms. Akers is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, where she was the senior diversity editor of the California Law Review: Volume 106. While in law school, she served as co-president of the Law Students of African Descent and participated in the Board of Advocates: Moot Court Program from 2016 to 2018. In addition, she was a clinical student at the East Bay Community Law Center: Education Advocacy Clinic, was a and member of the Foster Education Project, and served as a summer associate in Morrison Foerster’s San Francisco and Los Angeles Offices.
She received a B.A. in Communication Arts with honors and a certificate in Educational Policy Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.Show More
