Mia Akers is an associate in the Litigation Department of Morrison & Foerster’s Los Angeles office.

Ms. Akers is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, where she was the Senior Diversity Editor of the California Law Review: Volume 106. While in law school, she served as Co-President of the Law Students of African Descent and participated in the Board of Advocates: Moot Court Program from 2016-2018. In addition, she was a clinical student at the East Bay Community Law Center: Education Advocacy  Clinic and member of the Foster Education Project, where she represented students in school disciplinary and special education proceedings.  Mia also served as a Wetmore Fellow and summer associate in Morrison Foerster’s San Francisco and Los Angeles Offices. 

She received a B.A. in Communication Arts with honors and a certificate in Educational Policy Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
