Michael Chen is a member of the firm’s Technology Transactions Group. He focuses his practice on commercial and transactional matters in the information technology and life sciences spaces.

Mr. Chen works with companies of all sizes on a variety of matters, including patent and content licensing and acquisition, collaboration, supply, and distribution agreements, joint ventures, venture capital and M&A deals, and IT outsourcing matters. Before joining Morrison & Foerster, Mr. Chen was a member of the technology transactions practice at another major law firm in San Francisco.

Mr. Chen received his J.D. from Stanford Law School, where he served on the notes committee of the Stanford Law Review, and his M.S. in management science & engineering from Stanford University. He received a B.A. in computer science from the University of Virginia, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
