Dr. Michael Garelick is a member of the firm’s Patent Group and focuses his practice on patent matters pertaining to life science and biotechnology. Dr. Garelick has experience in a variety of technologies, including cellular and molecular biology, transgenic animal models, neurobiology, stem cell technology, and immunology.
Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster LLP, Dr. Garelick was a patent agent at Cooley LLP.
As a graduate student and postdoctoral researcher, Dr. Garelick worked on a wide range of research projects, including projects relating to the molecular mechanisms of memory formation, cellular signal transduction, the cellular regulation of protein synthesis, and diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease and muscular dystrophy. Dr. Garelick earned his Ph.D. in neurobiology & behavior at the University of Washington and his B.S. in biology and psychology at the University of Massachusetts.
Dr. Garelick is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
