Patrick McDonnell is an associate in the firm’s National Security and Privacy + Data Security Practice Groups. He is based in the firm’s Boston office.
Patrick’s practice includes advising clients on the scope and implications of economic sanctions and regulations administered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control. He also works on sensitive matters relating to data privacy and cybersecurity issues.
Patrick received his J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he was a student writer for Lawfare and an executive editor for the Harvard National Security Journal. He also received a master’s in public affairs specializing in international relations from the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs.
Before law school, Patrick served as an active duty intelligence officer in the U.S. Army and currently serves in a reserve capacity. He has done tours of duty in Europe and Afghanistan. He earned a B.A. in political science from the University of Notre Dame.Show More
