Peter Hilton is an associate in Morrison & Foerster’s Corporate Department, based in the firm’s Northern Virginia office. His practice encompasses such transactional matters as mergers and acquisitions, early-stage companies, technology transactions, securities offerings, corporate governance, and general business matters. Mr. Hilton has worked with companies in the defense, technology, healthcare, and financial services sectors, both privately held and publicly traded. He is an active participant in the firm's pro bono practice, in nonprofit transactional and immigration-related matters.
Mr. Hilton received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he served on the articles review committee of the Virginia Law and Business Review. Also during law school, he participated in the Transactional Law and Business Clinic and served on the executive boards of the Migrant Farmworker Project and the Entrepreneurship Society. He graduated, magna cum laude, with a B.A. in English and minors in music and editing from Brigham Young University.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Hilton founded and led Hilton Business Writing, a company that provided services in online marketing copywriting and translation. He is proficient in Spanish.
