Phillip Kim is a member of Morrison & Foerster's Corporate Group in the firm's Los Angeles office.

Mr. Kim’s practice focuses on representing publicly and privately held companies in a broad range of corporate and securities matters, including mergers and acquisitions, public offerings and private placements of equity and debt securities, financial services regulation, general business matters, corporate governance issues and compliance with U.S. federal securities laws and the requirements of the New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ.

Mr. Kim also maintains an active pro bono practice and is a repeat recipient of the State Bar of California's Wiley W. Manuel Award for Pro Bono Legal Services.

Mr. Kim received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2015, where he sat on the Senior Editorial Board for the Virginia Journal of Law and Technology. Mr. Kim earned his B.A. as a Chancellor Scholar in 2011 from the University of California San Diego.

Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Mr. Kim held a judicial externship with the Honorable Deborah J. Saltzman of the U.S. Bankruptcy court for the Central District of California and a Business & Tax Section internship with the Office of the California Attorney General.

Mr. Kim is admitted to practice law in California.
