Rachael Hanna is an associate in the Litigation Department in Morrison & Foerster’s Washington, D.C. office. Rachael’s practice focuses on advising clients on matters relating to national security, internal investigations, cybersecurity, and data privacy.

During law school, Rachael interned in various offices of the U.S. federal government including in the U.S. Department of State’s Office of the Legal Advisor, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts, and the U.S. Department of Defense. She was also a contributor to Lawfare, a national security legal blog, writing about domestic terrorism, export controls, and government surveillance.

Rachael received her J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School where she was an editor-in-chief of the National Security Journal. Rachael graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University with a B.A. in government and concentration in economics.
