Reiko Omachi is Of Counsel to Ito & Mitomi. She primarily handles legal matters related to financial transactions for banks, securities firms, and insurance companies; structured finance and derivatives; and general corporate matters. In particular, she has provided a great deal of advice related to financial regulations for banks and securities firms, both in Japan and overseas.

Between June 2003 and March 2006, Ms. Omachi was dispatched to the Counselor’s Office of the Ministry of Justice’s Civil Affairs Bureau, where she was in charge of amendments to Japanese private international law. Additionally, she has contributed to legal industry magazines and presented the results of her work at research conferences held by governmental agencies and various industry groups.

Ms. Omachi received her LL.B. from the University of Tokyo in 1996 and was admitted to practice law in Japan in 2000.
