Rob is a partner at Morrison & Foerster (International) LLP. Rob’s practice focuses on private investment fund formation and fund–raising, acting for both managers and investors across a broad range of strategies, including growth, venture capital, infrastructure, buy–out, and debt funds.

Rob regularly acts on carried interest schemes, structuring co–investments, spin outs, and the establishment of new fund managers.

His practice spans a wide range of sectors, including finance, technology, emerging markets, and infrastructure. He has a particular interest in high–growth and scale–up businesses. Rob is a member of the firm’s AI and Robotics group and its Private Funds Dispute Resolution group.

  • Representing STAR Capital on setting up a new fund management company, the structuring and raising of its third pan–European investment fund, STAR Strategic Assets III, and various co‑investment vehicles.
  • Representing Apis Partners on its establishment and the raising of APIS Growth Fund I.
  • Representing Seedcamp on raising its fourth venture fund, on various co–investments, and in relation to a portfolio sale to Draper Esprit plc.
  • Advising Connect Ventures on its latest pan–European venture fund and on a co‑investment into TypeForm.
  • Acting for Oxx on its spin out from Amadeus Capital and maiden fund–raising.
  • Advising Voulez Capital on the set up of its management company and raising of a venture capital fund investing in female founders.
  • Advising Hoxton Ventures on the UK aspects of their second European venture fund.
  • Advising Concrete VC on setting up a new fund management company, as well as various advisory arrangements with institutional investors to invest in PropTech opportunities.
  • Representing Eos Venture Partners on the raising of EVP I, a venture fund focused on the InsurTech sector.
  • Advising Air Street Capital on the set up of its management company and raising of a venture fund investing in AI businesses.
