Rob Mailer is a partner of Morrison & Foerster (International) LLP, based in the London office. His practice focuses on private investment fund formation and fund-raising, acting for both managers and investors across a broad range of strategies, including growth, venture capital, infrastructure, buy-out and debt funds.

Rob regularly acts on carried interest schemes, structuring co-investments, spin outs and the establishment of new fund managers.

His practice spans a wide range of sectors including finance, technology, emerging markets and infrastructure. He has a particular interest in high growth and scale-up businesses and has worked alongside Seedcamp on a property tech fund as well as advising on the raising of Seedcamp III and set up of Seedcamp Investment Management LLP.

Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster in 2017, Rob practiced at an international law firm’s office in London. During that appointment Rob’s notable transactions included acting for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on structuring and raising their innovative Equity Participation Fund, representing Lonsdale Capital Partners on their first mid market buyout fund and from 2007 until 2016 advising the British Business Bank on various investments and the creation and investment of its Enterprise Capital Fund programme.
