Robert Manoso is a Litigation associate in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. His practice focuses on complex commercial disputes, as well as civil, criminal, and internal investigations and related enforcement proceedings.

Mr. Manoso represents clients in both state and federal courts, as well as before federal agencies, including the U.S. Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission. He advises clients facing exposure under the False Claims Act, federal securities and antitrust laws and also assists with compliance matters. Mr. Manoso also has experience in a variety of commercial disputes, ranging from breach of fiduciary duty to misappropriation of trade secrets.

Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Mr. Manoso worked as an associate at a large international law firm, where he gained experience in securities and financial regulatory enforcement and financial services litigation. Prior to private practice, he served as judicial law clerk to Chief District Judge Thomas Varlan of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee.

Mr. Manoso earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2012, where he served on the editorial board of the Virginia Law and Business Review. He received his B.A. from the University of Virginia in 2009.
