Rony Gerrits is the co-chair of the Global Antitrust Law Practice Group, and the managing partner of the firm’s Brussels office. Mr. Gerrits handles a wide range of competition matters, with a particular focus on global cartel cases. He has also extensive experience managing follow-on cartel damages claims throughout Europe.
In addition to his cartel work, Mr. Gerrits has worked on a number of EU merger control cases, mostly involving high-tech industries. He recently handled the merger filings relating to Softbank's acquisition of ARM. Mr. Gerrits regularly appears in front of the European Commission, and has worked on competition cases in various EU member states, including Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, and Spain.
Mr. Gerrits is recommended by Legal 500 EMEA 2018 for Competition: EU and Global, receiving client praise for his "strong, strategic advice." He is also recommended as a leading lawyer by Global Competition Review’s International Who’s Who of Competition Lawyers & Economists 2013.
