Ryan advises both borrower and lender clients on various types of cross-border and domestic financial transactions. He has experience across leveraged finance, super senior finance, syndicated corporate loans, unitranche loans and mezzanine finance, and has acted for a broad spectrum of clients spanning financial sponsors, investment funds, banks, large corporates and private companies.

Ryan studied at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia, obtaining a Bachelor of Laws with first-class honours and a Bachelor of Arts (politics major) in 2016. Ryan’s law degree focused particularly on business and finance law, and included an Honours Thesis on penalty clauses in banking and finance transactions.

Prior to joining MoFo, Ryan practised at a Magic Circle law firm in London, where he was exposed to a vast array of significant international transactions and was seconded to one of the world’s largest oil and gas companies.

Ryan is qualified as a lawyer in Victoria, Australia.
